Booked out and the room literally packed to overflowing. OMG!
I've received a plethora of feedback about last Wednesday's class - seems it was popular.... Man, there are some sick, sick puppies out there :) Worse still, closet ab-crunch junkies in remission (just like me)....That said, I had so much fun in both the planning and the 'delivery' - so thanks for humouring me. Teaching-wise, it was a challenge (there were several newcomers and they couldn't make their questions heard over the din!). Also, we ALL would have been using WAY too many global muscles - but hey, better that than ab-crunches and it was fun right?
I made about 60 tracks (of which I used 12) so there is plenty of material available for another session ..... we'll see.
Knee Operation - Classes Affected : Wed 13th & Wed 20th May: Sally Danbury To Cover
You may have noticed me limping recently. I'm having a knee op 7th May and will be out of physical action for a couple of weeks. However..... This is your chance to try someone different. I've long maintained the importance of being a "Pilates Tart" and you will have the benefit if a different teacher coming to take both classes. PLEASE do yourselves a favour and see for yourself how the same moves can be very different. Sally Danbury is a friend and fellow Polestar Graduate - we have often trained together and she makes ME look like a gym junkie. Her emphasis on the moves is WAY different from me - and Madame Elastagirl will have you all stretching in ways you can only imagine.....!
My Third Birthday: "Thriller"....
May 2015 will be my third anniversary of running classes in the CBD! As per usual, I will mark the occaision with a fund raiser (doesn't cost you anything - I just donate all pass values and casual payments to charity). However, it'll be postponed until June/July. I will plan this while I am recovering from my knee op but am contemplating a class to the music of Michael Jackson's Thriller album. The rollup from cardboard box coffins, standing roll down a la zombie fashion, spiders web hair mist etc etc. (I really do have WAY to much time on my hands don't I?.....)
Each person attending nominates their favourite Charity - and I'll then draw for a hat. I suspect daugher Sammy will be making special cakes....
Given that the 'MusicFest' was insanely popular and the FitBall sessions are more popular than mat classes, while recovering from my knee op, I am going to work out the best way to canvass feedback regarding a possble change in direction a little. Ideas such as:
- FitBall class every other week
- A musicfest once a month
- More combo/jazzed up mat classes -
ie a move done in a quiet environment, taught properly, then repeat the same move to AC/DC!
Pilates Kit - At Cost:
My newer clients may not realise I offer a facility (only to those who've attended my classes) for Foam Rollers and FitBalls at cost. I have a wholesale account and don't mind passing on the entire discount. I plan of making a bulk purchase mid May. If interested - see here:
