- I was asked this AGAIN last week....... it's becoming an FAQ, mainly from guys who seem to want to work solely on rectus abdominus (the six pack). I am unable to encourage most towards moves favouring deeper (read, more USEFUL, less SHOWY) muscles such as transverse abs and internal/external obliques. AAARRRGGGGHHHH!
- Anyone how knows me will be aware of my abhorrence of ab-crunches. I feel they are inefficient - in that they are mostly momentum and bouncing up and down. I also feel they are dangerous - in terms of stresses placed on the lower spine.
- However, given this is what guys seem to gravitate to in the absence of efficient and safe alternatives.....
